Social Scheduling: Why I use Metricool for Video
Getting Organised
Content can be time consuming and decent tools are a must if you want to manage the process.
Scheduling your posts isn’t exactly a new idea, there have been lots of tools to do this over the years, some more effective than others and some more expensive than others.
Personally, I’m always on the lookout for tools that help you share video effectively.
There is currently joy in the air, in the video marketing space, because for the first time since the advent of social media the format for video is fairly universal.
Short form vertical video (mobile optimised and under 1 minute) is now the preferred format on TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels and YouTube Shorts, and there’s no reason why you can’t use it on LinkedIn either.
This means repurposing content is easier than ever and presents an opportunity to be more ubiquitous.
So lets take it while we can.
Enter Metricool
Metricool is a scheduling tool that I discovered fairly recently that ticks a lot of boxes in this area.
It’s a simple but powerful social media scheduler that allows you to map out your content on a calendar and post it to multiple social networks.
This includes the ability to add thumbnails, hashtags and even first comments (for links, or additional info), to your videos.

This is really powerful because it’s all in one place so you can compare channels and content easily.
Beyond that there is also a messaging system so you can manage all of your interactions in one place and a bunch of other tasty features.
Of course it’s not just for video, you can use it for any type of social post. Frustratingly it doesn’t work for LinkedIn personal profiles (only company pages). But this is actually LinkedIn’s fault and not Metricool’s, speak to them about it!
Price wise it’s a hit. There is a free basic package with plenty of features and subsequent subscriptions aren’t going to break the bank.
Definitely worth a look.
